Since I moved to Biel, Switzerland in March, I am absolutely in awe by its beauty. This country has so much variety to offer that this has been a fantastic playground for discovering new places. Especially mountains, I love them so I decided to ride all passes in Switzerland this year. According to Wikipedia, there are 100 Swiss passes, everything from a small 200m speed bump to serious business in the Alps.

I am very intrigued by this challenge because it serves multiple purposes: It makes me create routes (on www.komoot.com) with purpose and lets me venture out to new places that I otherwise would not consider to visit.

Currently, I have completed 29 climbs, most of them in my “neighboorhood” in the Jura. As the big passes are opening up in the coming weeks, the focus will turn to the Swiss Alps.

So far, beautiful routes, amazing views and stunning sceneries have emerged with this challenge. You can see them on my Instagram account (www.instagram.com/rad_monika) and follow my journey while I am chasing the remaining 71 passes. 🙂
